This space of the Internet is dedicated to the portion of the Ljunggren family currently composed of patriarch Edward, wife Natasha, son Ari and daughter Ida.
The origin of this strain of the family was well documented by Bengt Ljunggren (1936-2005), father of Edward, who picked up on the ancestry research carried out by his father Carl Ljunggren (1901-1966).
Ljunggren.org was set up by Edward in the late 90s to share pictures with friends and post CV for potential employers. Since then, social and network sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn has eliminated such needs. Instead of dismantling the domain, we have decided to keep it alive providing future off-springs with their own personalized email accounts and ability to show case themselves and their work.
Edward
I grew up with my father in the town of Kävlinge in the south of Sweden. At the age of fifteen, my father moved to the United Arab Emirates while I moved to Stockholm to live with my mother.
After high school in Stockholm, I moved to Los Angeles where I spent a good six years studying at UCLA.
Back in Stockholm, I started my career in Information Technology. After two years, I decided to follow my dad´s footsteps and moved to the United Arab Emirates.
After establishing a family in the UAE and having lived and worked in the Middle East for 15 years, we decided to move "back" to Sweden in the summer of 2014 to allow the kids to learn their Swedish roots.
After 5 years in Sweden, the next move is Malaysia to give our kids a chance to embrace and learn of their Asian identity.
Natasha
As an ex Purser with Emirates Airlines, my days of waking up not knowing in which country I am in are all gone.
However, disorientation and confusion remains as I attempt to juggle both family and a number of community activities I am engaged with. I am currently learning the ropes of Swedish life having moved from metropolitan Dubai to a small village in Sweden.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and photography. I have always had an interest in cooking with a special interest in baking creative cakes.
Ari
I guess my life is one hell of a confusion. I was born in Malaysia, spent most of my upbringing in Dubai, moved to Sweden, and now I'm packing all of my stuff again to be shipped to Malaysia. A bit confusing am I right?
Anyway, during my free time I do Muay Thai, parkour and a bit of calisthenics in the local park. All in hopes of getting lean and impressing the ladies, when I finally get to visit France for a language course this summer.
Ida
My name is Ida Mahsuri. The latter name comes from a Langkawi woman who was accused of adultery and executed by stabbing. Hopefully my life will take a different turn.
I am attending the local primary school. It is a small and intimate one where everyone knows your name. I like being around people and my dad says I talk a lot.
After school I like to do gymnastics and play with my friends.
